What does RankEngine connect to?

Shopify first, then the search and AI services that decide whether a store is found. Only Shopify is required; everything else is optional and switched on by you.

Shopify Admin API

Reads products, collections, pages, articles and images, and writes the fixes you apply: meta titles and descriptions, alt text, JSON-LD metafields, URL redirects and translations. Every write is read back before it is marked done. Read more.

Shopify theme app embed and app blocks

Adds structured data, llms.txt links and on-page blocks to the storefront through Shopify’s theme editor. You switch it on; turning it off removes it. Read more.

Google Search Console

After you connect it, reads clicks, impressions, positions and Google’s own indexing verdict for each page, fetched nightly, and submits your sitemap. Read more.

Bing Webmaster Tools and IndexNow

Pings IndexNow when a page changes so Bing, Yandex and other IndexNow engines recrawl it sooner. Read more.

Claude, Claude Code and Codex (MCP)

A remote MCP server lets an AI agent run scans, apply verified fixes and draft posts through the same pipelines as the app. Content is drafts-only and each tool needs your consent. Read more.

Cloudflare

An optional Worker serves llms.txt and agent files at the root of a custom domain, where Shopify cannot place them. Read more.

Keyword and backlink data

Search volume, difficulty, rankings, competitors and backlinks come from third-party SEO data providers, and Domain Rating from Ahrefs. These are estimates and are labelled as such. Read more.

Which of these needs an account of yours?

Google Search Console and Cloudflare connect to accounts you own, and you can disconnect them at any time. The MCP server needs a pairing you create in Settings. Shopify is connected by installing the app, and the AI assistants and data providers need nothing from you.
